Dear Open Access users,

I would like to remind everybody that it *is not allowed to swap
positions of the spinners* (the plastic things that hold the NMR tube)!

  * do not move spinners from the left to the right spectrometer or vice
    versa
  * all spinners are labelled on the inside with their position number
    --> stick to those

*Why this is important: *

If you have a sample say on position 6 on the left spectrometer and you
want to transfer it to the right spectrometer to measure 2D and 13C
spectra, *you cannot move it together with the spinner* (as it actually
happened today). This is mainly because, as a consequence, position 6
from the left spectrometer would be left without spinner (--> position
is basically blocked). Also, on the right spectrometer, the sample would
sit on a position (maybe 6, maybe another number), but the corresponding
spinner will be still in the rack on the wall (--> huge confusion).

You might find this complicated and anoying, but please trust us that
this is the best way to maintain order and to avoid confusion of samples
(nobody wants their precious sample being accidentally discarded by
somebody else because two samples were swapped).

Thanks for your understanding and have a nice evening!

Best wishes,

Linn
